Experience: Over the years (he didn’t want us to tell, but it’s been over 35 year, shuuushhh :-} ) Fran has gone to many schools of advanced training for cutting, coloring and perming. I became an Educator for Kenra Corp. and have taught others in my spare time. He has taught stylists and taken courses under Vidal Sassoon, Alan Benfield Bush (creator of ABBA) and others. What you may not know about Fran is that he is a MASTER HAIR DESIGNER.
Education: I graduated from high school in Fulton, New York in 1964, then joined the U.S. Navy to “see the world”. I moved to California in 1974 with my wife, Louise, and two young sons and changed professions to be a hairstylist. We lived in Anaheim for about a week until this dark cloud moved in. It was smog! We packed up and headed south to Escondido where I attended Deluxe School of Cosmetology. After that, I floated between salons until we bought our own in 1980 right here in Escondido. Now Fran and his wife Louise have seen their family expand over the years. Many, many hairstylist have started or furthered their professional careers with Fran & Louise’s help, which continues to this day, but their own family has increased to include daughter’s in-law and 5 grandchildren.
Specialties: Hair designs, coloring and perming.
So what does Fran do when he’s not in the salon? GOLF, and plan their next outing in their motor home. He also loves scuba diving and photography.
We have a togetherness in our salon like I have never seen in any salon. All of our stylists help one another to be sure the quality of the work is the best. We are here to serve and listen to our clients needs and desires and that is exactly what we do!

Experience: I have educated large groups for Kenra Corp. We’re an Ambassador Salon for Redken, and a test salon for Redken and Biocombe Labs. 32 years on the job experience. American Board Certified Colorist. International Redken Specialist.
Education: I apprenticed with 5 hairstylists for two years. I have received advanced haircutting training from teachers for “Obieus”, “Rene of England”, “Mackie.” I have also taken Advanced Color Training from Redken, Matrix, Clarol, Farouk, and Dikson.
Specialities: I specialize in corrective haircolor, cutting edge haircut technologies, and “Up” Styling.
Hobbies: Scuba Diving, golf, painting and travel. Creating a more beautiful you. Married, 2 boys and 5 grandchildren.
Associations: Downtown Business Association.
Awards: I am certified in the “CHI”, Catonic Hydration Interlink, straightening system. I am certified “Smart Tan”, State Teacher for Cosmetology Apprenticeship, Master Board Haircolorist and International Haircolorist. Best Salon 2007 10News. com.
